We moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, in two stages. Stage One happened at the end of January, 2012. We packed some furniture for Sarah and as many boxes as we could fit into the 28' trailer. We could not have done it without a lot of help from our friends.
Sarah lived in a duplex on the south side of Rapid for two months while Rick stayed in Boise to finish up his 33-year career at Hewlett-Packard, work on selling our home on Hickory Loop, and pack, pack, pack for moving Stage Two. His biggest accomplishment was fitting all his mounts safely into our box trailor.
Meanwhile, Sarah explored Rapid City and had visits from Rick in February and Mom in March. During Rick's visit, we visited the Badlands and saw some big horn sheep.
At the end of March, Sarah flew back to Boise on a Friday, we had dinner with our most wonderful friends - Lisea and Dan, and we set off Saturday morning, together, for the final drive to Rapid City. Goodbye to Boise, beautiful majestic Idaho, and all of our so very good friends. We will miss you all so much.
